Like memory, a version of history is created in each retelling. However much the historian or performance maker attempts to stay close to the facts, she is always interpreting it with her own lens. Devised from the shipboard diaries of Thomas Pender, VOYAGE articulates an episode of our Australian migrant history and asks: who are the authorities of our history.
